A cooking class!!
Over this past weekend two dear friends and I decided to take a cooking class. It was so much fun!! If you like to cook, I highly suggest doing one of these sometime. It was easy, hands on, informative, and delicious!!! The class was made up of 16 “students” and we worked in groups of 4. Each group created the dinner menu of that evening which was titled “Date night in Paris”. We decided to rename it “Evening in Paris”. Seemed more fitting. 🙂
Our menu was a Frisee and Arugula salad with a shallot and champagne vinaigrette. It had goat cheese and toasted walnuts and it was so scrumptious! This was paired with a gorgeous flank steak with a fresh thyme and rosemary rub, and then grilled. It was topped with a Roquefort compound butter! Are you drooling yet???? In addition to the steak was Pommes Frites (aka French Fries) with a black truffle salt. The dinner was finished with a Vanilla bean Creme Brulee. OMG!!!! I can’t even tell you how amazing all that was!!! We were able to dish up our plate with all this amazingness and enjoy the fruits of our labor. Like I said, I highly recommend doing this with a friend or several friends. ♥
For now, I will add the shallot and champagne vinaigrette to my recipe button. If you’d like any other info on the dinner, leave me a comment and I will get back to you.
This is super fun for anyone who likes to cook. And trust me, you do NOT have to be an expert cook to enjoy this wonderful experience.
