Live Simply

Sounds like such a simple, easy thing to do doesn’t it? I think a lot of us would love to live by that motto and appreciate all that it means. We all get so darn busy in the day to day life. It’s just how things are and need to be when you are trying to do all you can to be able to pay bills, buy groceries, take care of family, see friends, pay for cars and gas, go here and there, etc.

There are so many simple pleasures in life and sometimes we get so caught up in responsibilities that we don’t take the time to do the things we need to replenish the heart and soul. These small joys can come in the form of so many things. But for sure, we all have moments and experiences that bring us pleasure and happiness. ♥

For me, the list is long. My loves are family, friends, cooking, flowers, photography, fresh brewed (strong) coffee, sitting on the deck, picnics at the lake, and going to favorite stores with friends, loving all the fun things we admire but don’t buy! (lol).
Grand-babies, talking with my adult children and hearing about their lives, favorite tv shows to watch with my husband, talks on the phone, looking through cooking and flower magazines, and dark chocolate. Listening to songs I love and adding them to a ongoing playlist.  Bird watching, going to lunch with friends, cocktails, trying out new recipes and new cuisines, etc. I could go on and on!!! There are so many other things to numerous to mention without writing a book~

I sincerely hope that you all find what little things make you happy and replenish your heart and soul. The smallest of things can bring such joy. It doesn’t have to cost money and you don’t have to be rich to enjoy the moments in life that become memories you cherish. Sometimes the “free” things are the very best! Find your moments, zero in on what little things bring you pleasure. Live simply and enjoy the time you have with the people and things you love ♥

Until next time……..
