Is it MAY already!!!!!?????

OMG, I can’t believe MAY is here!!! Where did the time go??? And its almost half over!!! I know for those of you that are busy this may not seem all that impossible, but then again,…… are you serious…..ITS THE MIDDLE OF MAY???
Well, I have not forgotten about you, and I sincerely wished I’d been posting before now. Somehow life got away from me. Lots going on and it is finally settling down a bit.
The garden is coming along. It makes me happy to see things emerging from the ground and actually growing and getting bigger before my very eyes! 🌻🌷🌼 I’ve planted a few things in little pots on the deck for replanting a little later in the garden. So much yet to accomplish. Weeding is about 1/2 done and I wish I had a garden fairy to come help me 🙁 There are still so many weeds in the garden to get rid of !!!
But, having said that, the Phlox is up about a foot, dahlias are coming up, day lilies are looking right on schedule, and the Rhodies are in full bloom. Climbing roses are beginning to bloom, Hydrangeas are beginning to bud, lily of the valley are close to blooming and the clematis is in full glory!!! How can one complain? There are things yet to order for planting and pots to be filled for the deck, but it is so close to becoming SUMMER and all the beauty it brings!😎 It can’t turn back now!! So much to be thankful for and so much to enjoy coming up! I’m super excited. ❤❣
There are Spring and Summer craft and bake sale events coming up and I can’t wait to participate in those. Always makes me happy to have a table with my note cards and baked goods. I look forward to those events and seeing everyone that attends, including other vendors. We all love what we do and look forward to others enjoying it as well. The next one for me is at the Lake Quinault School on May 18th. If you are in the area or are interested you should stop by! There are many wonderful vendors excited to show you their wares.
I hope you are all lining up your fun things to do for summer. It seems to go by all to quick, but so much to enjoy while its here! Find your happy!!!! xoxoxo
Until the next time my friends……..
Lovely Jennifer, I’m home again. It was the most wonderful afternoon I spent with you in Cabin 5 at Lake Quinault Rainforest Resort. Thank you so much for coming to have tea with me. Now I’ve been working on that last page of Chapter 17 of my book. That page has now become the beginning of Chapter 18, with a lot of fleshing out and much more added. My writing group meets on Wednesday this week, so I have work to do. I have no garden, but we came home to blooming Wisteria along the porch, which is beautiful. Otherwise, we have only a yard of ferns and wild things. Later there will be foxglove, I love them. The seeds I used when we moved here, came from the roadsides to and from Lake Quinault. A reminder of our time there!! I best get back to 1919 in central WA, and write. Oh, I was reading some of your posts here, and one of them contained the brown butter pie! Till next time, Anna
Thank you Anna! It was absolutely delightful spending the afternoon with you. All the little things you brought along for “tea time” made it even more special.❣ And the recipes and book and writings you gave me are wonderful. I will treasure them. Hope all goes well with your book writing adventure and we will stay in touch.
p.s. I’ll let you know if I try the brown butter pie! 🙂
